This childrens book was written and illustrated by Heath Robinson in 1902. Uncle Lubin is a little old man in a tall hat and long coat. He is left in charge of his beloved nephew Peter and one fateful day, a great Bagbird swoops down while Uncle Lubin is innocently napping, whisks away the screaming child in his beak, and flies to the moon. Uncle Lubin sets out on a series of adventures to retrieve baby Peter. No mortal could compare with him for ingenuity and inventiveness and he could do wonderful things with a piece of knotted string.
