Delivery and Returns

DELIVERY

Orders are placed through the Heath Robinson Mechanical Fulfilment Machine*. Please be patient as delivery times rely on plentiful supplies of knotted string that keep the pulleys and gears of the HRMFM turning. Our team of volunteers aim to fulfil orders at least once a week, unless something dreadful happens like the string snapping or a gear breaking.

UK 

Most orders will be received within 10 working days although please allow up to 21 days from the date you place your order for delivery.
Standard UK delivery charge is £4.95 per order 
UK orders are sent using Royal Mail and other courier services. You will be sent an email confirmation when your parcel has been dispatched.

All orders are sent on a tracked and signed for basis. If no-one is present to take delivery and sign for the parcel, you should receive a calling card explaining how and where to collect your parcel or who to call to organise a redelivery.

If you don't collect your parcel within a certain period of time, it will be returned to the Heath Robinson Museum. Redelivery can then be arranged but may incur a supplementary postage charge.

OVERSEAS

Most orders will be received within 10-15 working days although please allow up to 21 days from the date you place your order for delivery.
Standard rate of £20 for deliveries within Europe 
Standard rate of £35 for deliveries to the Rest of the World

Overseas orders are dispatched using a recorded delivery service. You will receive a tracking link in an email once your order has been picked, packed and dispatched.

Please note: Your order may be subject to customs charges. The recipient of the goods will be responsible for paying customs duty and taxes prevailing in their own country.

Delivery time will vary depending on the country's postal service and customs, which may hold parcels for a length of time before releasing them for delivery. 

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock, we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. If an item you order is later found to be out of stock, you will be contacted to see if an alternative can be provided or a refund will be offered.

RETURNS

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange, except where items are faulty.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable);
- Book with obvious signs of use
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Shipping

To return a product, send us an email at webshop@heathrobinsonmuseum.org notifying us and send or deliver the product to: Heath Robinson Museum, 50 West End Lane, Pinner HA5 1AE, UK.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for an exchanged product to reach you may vary.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund due, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at webshop@heathrobinsonmuseum.org and send or deliver your item to: Heath Robinson Museum, 50 West End Lane, Pinner HA5 1AE, UK.
