Christmas Card Pack - Stirring the Christmas Pudding

This elaborate HR illustration, Mechanical aids for Christmas, was first published in his 1934 book Absurdities. It depicts a contraption designed to let a family perform the traditional task of stirring a Christmas pudding together. The machine's features include:
A family effort: The illustration shows the entire family, including parents, grandparents, and children, taking part in operating the system of pulleys, belts, and gears.

A crank-powered system: One person turns a large crank handle, which sets in motion a convoluted system of drives, levers, and gears.

The pudding stirrer: The energy from the crank is ultimately transferred to a rod and stirrer plunged into the large basin of pudding.

The cards inside read " Seasons Greetings"
