The Secret Garden

This Children's book, a story of Mary Lennox, a young girl living in india with her parents had always been ill in one way or another. She is mainly cared for by Indian servants and rarely sees her parents. An outbreak of cholera kills everyone in the Lennox household except for Mary and so she returns to Yorkshire to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven. It is here that she learns of a secret garden that belonged to the late wife of her uncle. Mary is instantly intrigued and sets out to find this secret garden and what is contained within. This edition is illustrated by Heath Robinson's brother Charles Robinson. This is a Folio edition, cloth bound in a slip case.
